Robert Buchanan: Biography

EXPERIENCE: 

Currently devoting full time to the development and marketing of the RV Space Manager.

Under contract during parts of 1998 to the state of California converting a series of computer programs to Y2K compliancy.

Prior to forming Robert L. Buchanan & Associates in 1983, Robert was Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's Management Sciences and Data Processing Institute for their four state Western Region. He managed the conduct of training for over 7,000 students per year with a tuition budget of up to one million dollars. He directed the Institute during its development from a handful of courses to the largest regional Computer/Information Science curriculum in the Federal government. In ceremonies conducted at the State Department in Washington, D.C., he received the Director of the U. S. Office of Personnel Management's Award for Superior Accomplishment.

He was previously director of computer programming for the Bureau of Reclamation in Sacramento. He was responsible for the conversion of both scientific/engineering and business applications to medium and large scale computer systems.

Concurrent with the above, Robert has been involved in computer education at the Junior College and University level. He holds the rank of Level II Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University in San Francisco and Sacramento having taught seminar and semester sessions in both the Graduate and Undergraduate Colleges. He has also taught at Merritt College in Oakland and as an adjunct teacher at American River College in Sacramento.

EDUCATION:

Kentucky - Holds Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural design major)

Georgetown - Holds Degree in Mathematics/Physics

Sacramento State University - Completed educational requirements for LIFE teaching credential (State of California - Data Processing Curriculum)
